Chris Sloan is the co-chair of the Firm’s Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Group, focusing on corporate structure and governance, venture capital financings, M&A, contract law, and IP protection for early-stage, high-growth businesses. He advises technology and healthcare companies on complex IT transactions and emerging technologies like AI, digital health, and blockchain. Chris often serves as outside general counsel, providing tailored, practical advice on corporate, securities, and technology law issues, and prides himself on delivering cost-effective, business-driven solutions to help clients achieve their goals. He also co-leads the firm’s Blockchain & Cryptocurrency team, counseling on blockchain, cryptocurrency, and DeFi. Active in the entrepreneurial community, Chris is an advisor at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, former chair of the Nashville Technology Council, and a frequent speaker and author for industry events and CLE seminars
